OUR SERVICES
WITNESSING DOCUMENTS
A meeting will be arranged for you to sign the completed
document in front of the Notary. You must have proof of your ID at that meeting.
Once signed the Notary completes a certificate on or attached to
the document confirming that you have been identified, understood what you are signing and
signed in front of the Notary. That certificate is completed by the Notary adding their
signature, a stamp identifying them and embossing their seal of office.
We are certifying as to your identity, understanding and
signature, not the content of the document. A translation to English is accordingly not
necessary in the case of foreign language documents.
As a requirement of the Notarial Act we have to keep a copy of
the document and certificate along with a copy of the ID used. These are stored by us
electronically.
