A Remote Notarial Act (RNA) may be completed via an Audio-visual
meeting (AV) where it is impractical for the Applicant to personally attend on a Notary Public.
RNA may not be undertaken where it is simply a matter of convenience to the applicant.
Before completing a RNA, the Applicant must have satisfied themself
that the document will be acceptable in the foreign jurisdiction when remotely signed via AV.
The Applicant will normally sign personally (not electronically).
Electronic signing may be acceptable but must be first approved by the recipient.
